May 30, 2012 - A man critically injured in a hit-and-run traffic accident at 17300 Tomball Parkway (Highway 249) about 4:55 a.m. on Sunday (May 27) has died.

The identity of the male victim, 30, of Houston, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  He was pronounced dead on Monday (May 29) at Ben Taub General Hospital.

The victim was walking on the right shoulder of the southbound lanes of Highway 249 near Willowbrook Mall when he was struck by an unknown vehicle that failed to stay in its lane.  The driver failed to stop and render aid to the victim.
