March 6, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 8701 Gustine Lane about 10:10 p.m. on Monday (March 5).

The victim, Fredrick James Black Jr., 26, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Padilla and Senior Police Officer R. Bolton reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting in-progress call at the Royal Pine Apartments at the above location and were told by a male that his friend had been shot.  The male pointed to a gray car and officers approached it and found Mr. Black deceased in the driver's seat.  He had been shot multiple times.

There is no known motive nor suspect(s) at this time.
