June 18, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the apparent accidental shooting of a female at 4616 Kingsbury about 5:30 p.m. on Saturday (June 16).

The victim, Rochelle Jackson, 24, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Officers J. Dominguez and B. Oxspring reported:

Ms. Jackson's brother was taking his pistol inside the residence at the above location when the weapon accidentally discharged. Jackson was struck in the head and died at the scene.

No charges have been filed at this time as the investigation is continuing.
