June 11, 2012 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 8600 FM 1960 West about 1:55 a.m. on Sunday (June 10).

The male victim, Jackson Manuel Boggus, 39, of Houston, was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Hospital.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant C. Nickerson and Officer M. Reyes reported:

Mr. Boggus was driving a red Saturn sedan eastbound on FM 1960 at a high rate of speed when he struck another vehicle near the intersection of Mills Road.

Boggus was transported by Life Flight helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital where doctors pronounced him deceased. No other persons were injured in the accident.

The investigation is continuing.
