June 11, 2012 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a woman found at 5400 Chennault about 1:40 a.m. today.

The female victim's identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. McStravick and Senior Police Officer P. Vela reported:

A resident living in the 5400 block of Chennault heard a female cry for help. When the resident looked outside, he saw the victim's body on the sidewalk and immediately called 911. HFD paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased. The victim appears to have suffered unknown trauma.

At this time there are no known suspects or motive in this incident.
