July 02, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of another at 10300 South Gessner about 7:50 p.m. last Friday (June 29).

The deceased victim is identified as William Trey Ross, 26, of Houston.  A second shooting victim was treated and released at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Howard and Officer R. Lujan reported:

Mr. Ross was shot while driving his sport utility vehicle at the above location.  His male passenger was also wounded by an unknown suspect(s).

The suspect's vehicle is described as a red Chevrolet Impala with tinted windows that fled the scene.  A surveillance photo of the vehicle is attached to this news release.

The motive in the shooting is unknown at this time.
