January 3, 2012 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run traffic accident in the 10600 block of Stancliff about 1:35 a.m. on Sunday (Jan. 1).
The male victim, 32, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Thomas and Officer K. Hines reported:
According to witnesses, the victim was walking eastbound on Stancliff when he was struck by a black Cadillac Escalade, also traveling eastbound on Stancliff. The Escalade then made a U-turn, stopped near the victim for a brief moment, and then continued westbound on Stancliff.
