December 19, 2012 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 10100 Southwest Freeway (South U. S. Highway 59) about 2:30 a.m. today.

The identity of the male victim, 37, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant I. Izaguirre and Officer R. Bymaster reported:
The victim, driving a silver G35 Infiniti southbound on the Southwest Freeway, failed to maintain a single lane and struck the guardrail on the exit ramp to the West Sam Houston Tollway.  The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  There are no known witnesses to the incident and no other vehicles nor occupants involved in this accident. 

The investigation is continuing.
