Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4000 Wilmington
December 18, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 4000 Wilmington about 7 p.m. on Monday (Dec. 17).
The victim, John Dipo Miller, 28, of Houston, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Rohling and Officer J. Harvey reported:
An on-duty Houston Independent School District police officer was at Worthing High School when he heard several gunshots. Upon investigation, the officer found Mr. Miller in his vehicle, a gold Oldsmobile, stopped on Wilmington just east of Scott Street.
There is no known motive or suspect(s) in this case.
