December 17, 2012 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 6000 Airport about 8:45 p.m. last Friday (Dec. 14).

The identity of the male victim, 46, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant C. Nickerson and Officer F. Flynn reported:

The victim was driving a red Chevrolet Malibu westbound on Airport at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree in the center median. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
