August 27, 2012 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 12300 Almeda Road about 10:30 a.m. on August 22.

The driver, Yolanda Michelle West, 47, of Houston, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where she died the next day (Aug. 23).

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Francois and Senior Police Officer R. Davidson reported:

Ms. West was driving a white Chevrolet Surburban when she suffered a heart attack and lost control of her vehicle. The Surburban left the roadway and struck a tree.

The invesitigation is continuing.
