Suspect Wanted, Charged in Female's Death at 4250 West 34th

April 2, 2012 - Houston police are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect wanted and charged in the death of a female at 4250 West 34th #119 about 6 a.m. on Sunday (April 1).


The suspect, Alan Erskine (b/m, DOB: 3-25-74), is charged with murder in the 185th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of his girlfriend, Lavandra Stevens, 24, of the above address, who suffered unknown injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Ms. Stevens' cause of death will be determined by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. McGray and Senior Police Officer T. Tyler reported:

Ms. Stevens was murdered in her apartment by Erskine. He then called 9-1-1, reported her death and then fled the scene. Erskine was last seen in a black Chevrolet Silverado long bed pickup truck with Texas license plates 39YGB5.
