April 2, 2012 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run traffic accident in the 13600 block of Westheimer about 2:30 a.m. on Saturday (March 31).

The victims, Victoria Evelyn Miranda, 24, and Emma Leann Miranda, 2, both of Conroe, were pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Thomas and Officer N. Rosenblatt reported:

The victims were attempting to cross the street in the 13600 block of Westheimer when they were struck by an unknown black vehicle that fled the scene. There are no known witnesses to the incident and investigators did not know where the victims were heading at the time of the accident.
