September 6, 2011 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 1621 Upland about 2:30 p.m. on Saturday (Sept. 3).

The victim, Matthew Mehdi Rouhani, 61, of Houston, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer R. Swainson and Officer C. Sturdivant reported:

Mr. Rouhani had not been seen since last Tuesday (Aug. 30) and his employees became worried after repeated attempts to contact him were not successful.  Employees forced entry into Rouhani's business at the above location and found him deceased.  Further investigation determined Rouhani's vehicle, a light blue, four-door 2009 Honda with Texas license plates BGIZ-133, was stolen from the location.
