October 31, 2011 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a woman found at 6301 West Bellfort about 6 a.m. on Sunday (Oct. 30).

The identity and cause of death of the female victim are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Carrillo and Senior Police Officer H. Chavez reported:

A resident of the San Marcos Apartments at the above location found the victim on the floor of a laundry room. HPD patrol officers and HFD paramedics responded to the scene where the victim was pronounced dead. Residents of the apartment complex told investigators they heard a female scream about 6 a.m., but did not see anyone in the area.
