Update: Suspect Arretsed, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 3300 Calumet
October 12, 2011 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a woman found at 3300 Calumet about 1 a.m. on July 13.
The suspect, Brandon Larue Jackson (b/m, DOB: 1-6-86), is charged with murder in the 248th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Lori Ann Pittman, 30, address unknown, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants T. Hanslik and W. Bush reported:
Officers responded to a shooting call at the above location and found a female victim (Ms. Pittman) with a gunshot wound and deceased in the street. Witnesses told police they found the woman after hearing a single gunshot from outside their residences. An autopsy was performed and Ms. Pittman's identity was confirmed by fingerprints. The autopsy also confirmed she was pregnant.
Further investigation identified Jackson as the suspect in this case and, on Tuesday (Oct. 11), he was arrested without incident. Jackson admitted to his involvement in Pittman's death.
