October 10, 2011 - A woman critically injured in a traffic accident in the 1100 block of Heights Boulevard on Oct. 5 has died.

Susan Young, 38, of Houston, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where she was pronounced dead on Saturday (Oct. 8).

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Arnold and Officer J. Beitia reported:

The driver of a gray Chevrolet Malibu was westbound on West 11th when the victim attempted to cross the street at the intersection of Heights Boulevard and was struck by the Malibu. The driver stopped. Several witnesses stated the female appeared to be jogging and listening to music when she ran into the street. Witnesses advised the driver had a green light and the right of way at the intersection.
