November 17, 2011 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 1200 West Loop North (West Interstate Highway 610) about 8:25 p.m. on Wednesday (Nov. 16).

The male victim, 24, was transported to Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Gonzales and Officer J. Ortiz reported:

The victim was operating a Harley Davidson 1200 motorcycle northbound in the 1200 block of the West Loop North when for unknown reasons, he lost control of the motorcycle.  The victim fell off the motorcycle and was struck by a vehicle whose driver stopped at the scene.



The investigation is continuing.
