November 7, 2011 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the apparent fatal shooting of a man in the 7000 block of Scott about 3 a.m. on Saturday (Nov. 5).

The identity and cause of death of the victim, 24, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B.E. Roberts and Senior Police Officer K.P. Carr reported:

The victim was discovered lying in the street, apparently shot.  He was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
