November 7, 2011 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 12300 South Gessner about 8:30 a.m. on Saturday (Nov. 5).

The male victim, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Chambers and Officer E. Simpson reported:

The driver of a black Chevrolet Equinox was traveling northbound on South Gessner.  According to a witness, the vehicle was swerving and then struck a curb, causing the driver to lose control of the Chevrolet and strike a tree.

No other vehicles or persons were involved in the accident.
