May 24, 2011 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results of a man found fatally stabbed at 3018 Dowling about 4:30 a.m. today (May 24).

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N. Ruland and Senior Police Officer B. Nabors reported:

Patrol officers in the area of Emancipation Park at the above address observed the victim lying in the parking lot of the park.  They stopped to investigate and determined the victim had been stabbed in his upper torso.  Paramedics were called and pronounced the man dead at the scene.  The male did not have any identification on him.
