May 20, 2011 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 100 block of Robmore about 3:45 a.m. today (May 20).

The male victim, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant I. Izaguirre and Officer R. Bymaster reported:

The victim was driving a silver Nissan Maxima at a high rate of speed, westbound on Robmore when he struck a curb on the south side of the street, lost control, and struck a tree.  The victim died at the scene.  No other persons or vehicles were invovled in this accident.

The investigation is continuing.
