May 4, 2011 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the deaths of two people in an apparent murder-suicide at 5439 Forest Spring Drive about 10:35 p.m. on Tuesday (May 3).

The female victim, 26, and male suspect 39, were pronounced dead at the scene.  Their identities are pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Mcpherson and Officer M. Coleman reported:

Patrol officers responded to a discharging firearms call at the above location.  When officers arrived, neighbors stated they believed the gunshots had come from inside the residence.  The officers did not get an answer at the door and found the front door unlocked.  Upon opening the door, they found the male lying inside the residence with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.  The female victim was found lying in the kitchen, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
