May 2, 2011 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 3300 block of Houston Avenue about 1:20 a.m. on Saturday (April 30).

The male victim, age unknown, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Shaw and Officer M. Hardt reported:

The victim was operating a black Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound in the 3300 block of Houston Avenue when he struck a curb, lost control of the motorcycle and crashed.  The victim, who was not wearing a helmet, died at the scene.  No other vehicles were involved in this accident.

The investigation is continuing.
