March 24, 2011 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 3800 Broadway about 6:40 a.m. today (March 24).

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Hall and Senior Police Officer A. Brown reported:

The victim was operating a green Kawasaki MC motorcycle northbound on Broadway when the motorcyclist lost control and slid under the trailer of a green Freightliner commercial truck.  The trailer then fatally struck the motorcyclist.
