March 21, 2011 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6000 Sunforest about 11:55 p.m. last Friday (March 18).

The identity of the victim, 22, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W.L. Meeler and Officer J.L. French reported:

Patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the Rancho Verde Apartments at the above address.  The officers found a male deceased in the parking lot.  Witnesses stated there was an argument between the victim, a black female, and a black male suspect.  The argument escalated and the male suspect shot the victim numerous times.  The female and the suspect were then seen fleeing the area on foot.
