Update: Investigation into Man Found Deceased at 100 Jensen

June 13, 2011 - Houston police have learned the identity of a man found deceased at 100 Jensen about 5 p.m. on June 4.

The victim has been identified as Leroy Crockett, 58. address unknown. Mr. Crockett's cause of death is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Burton and Officer M. Brady reported:

A tour boat operator was traveling on Buffalo Bayou shortly before 5 p.m. when he observed the body of a man floating in the bayou just east of the Jensen Street bridge and called police. Officers from the HPD Dive Team recovered the body.
