January 24, 2011 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8600 Theta about 10:15 p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 22).

The victim, 20, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer T. Miller and Officer M. Stahlin reported:

Patrol officers and HFD emergency personnel responded to a report of an unconscious man inside a parked car at an apartment complex at the above location.  The victim was found by HFD personnel and pronounced dead at the scene.
