Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 8801 South Braeswood #1406
December 29, 2011 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 8801 South Braeswood #1406 about 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday (Dec. 28).
The male victim, 28, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Deese and Officer M. Condon reported:
The victim and his wife were inside their apartment when two black males knocked at the door. The victim's wife let them inside and moments later heard gunshots. She then discovered her husband lying on the floor with a gunshot wound to the chest.
The two suspects fled the scene on foot. They are described only as black males with stocky builds, dressed in black clothing, who may have had their faces covered as they fled. One suspect may have also been carrying a backpack.
