December 19, 2011 - Houston police are investigating the death of a woman found at 4100 River Drive about 8 a.m. last Friday (Dec. 16).

The identity of the victim, 31, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants R. Chandler and W. Bush reported:

The victim, a white female, was found on the side of the road with sharp force trauma to her body. At this time, investigators have been unable to locate any family members or receive information on the woman's whereabouts prior to her being found deceased.
