December 19, 2011 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 800 Brenda about 6:20 a.m. on Sunday (Dec. 18).

The identity of the deceased male, 23, of Houston, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Shaw and Officer L. Ho reported:

The victim was driving a green Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck at a high rate of speed westbound in the 800 block of Brenda when the vehicle left the road, drove into a ditch and then overturned. The victim, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no other vehicles involved in the accident.
