December 12, 2011 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 10210 Forum West Drive about 7:20 p.m. on Sunday (Dec. 11).

The victim, Alberto Lopez, Jr., 22, of the above address, was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sgt. N. T. Ruland and Senior Police Officer B. W. Nabors reported:

Mr. Lopez and several other persons got into an altercation with another group of individuals. An unknown male suspect then fired several shots at Lopez as he walked through the courtyard of the apartment complex at the above location. Lopez was struck in the chest by the gunfire. He was then taken to the hospital.
