Fatal Traffic Accident at 11400 Beechnut
August 1, 2011 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 11400 Beechnut about 9:40 p.m. on Saturday (July 30).
The male victim, 58, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Shaw and Officer J. Perrotte reported:
According to witnesses, the driver of a silver Toyota 4Runner was travelling eastbound on Beechnut at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the SUV and struck a tree.
