Fatal Traffic Accident at 16100 El Camino Real

April 25, 2011 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 16100 block of El Camino Real about 5:10 p.m. on Saturday (April 23).

The male victim, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Chambers and Offiicer L. Ho reported:

The victim was driving a red Chevrolet S10 pickup truck southbound on El Camino Real when, for unknown reasons, the truck veered from the road and struck a lightpole between the northbound and southbound lanes. The driver was killed. A female passenger was transported via Life Flight Helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital, and a male passenger was transported to Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital. Both passengers are in stable condition. No other vehicles were involved in this accident.
