Fatal Traffic Accident at 6700 Almeda Genoa
April 18, 2011 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 6700 Almeda Genoa about 3:20 p.m. on Sunday (April 17).
The identity of the male victim, 61, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Richard and Officer C. Long reported:
A gray Mazda 6 was stopped at the red light at Almeda Genoa at Mykawa. The victim was operating a black GMI Moped north on Mykawa and attempted to turn east on to Almeda Genoa. As he made the turn, the victim lost control of the Moped and struck the Mazda. He died at the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
