Suspect Arrested, Charged in Infant's Death at 2929 Hayes Road
April 7, 2011 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the death of an infant at 2929 Hayes Road #1104 about 2:55 p.m. on Wednesday (April 6).
The suspect, Christopher Washington (b/m, DOB: 4-30-75), is charged with capital murder in the 248th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of one-year-old Sandrell Crosby. Baby Sandrell suffered apparent wounds to her head and body and was transported to Texas Children's Hospital where she later died.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Rodriguez and Officer M. Condon reported:
Baby Sandrell was transported from her residence at the above location to Texas Children's Hospital where doctors later pronounced her dead. Washington, Sandrell's father, was questioned by investigators and admitted he assaulted the baby and caused her death.
