October 27, 2010 - Houston police homicide division investigators have released surveillance photos of a vehicle connected to the fatal shooting of a man at 11650 West Bellfort about 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 19.

The vehicle is described as a black four-door or extended cab pickup truck with a rear center-slide window and shiny, chrome rims. It is believed the pickup was occupied by three to five suspects described only as Hispanic males in their 20s with tattoos on their arms. Photos of the vehicle are attached to this news release.

The victim, Theodore Mitsakos, 49, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants J. Brooks, C. Cegielski, T. Biggs and Senior Police Officer K. Carr reported:

Mr. Mitsakos was traveling westbound on West Bellfort when he was pursued by two males in a black pickup truck. The two males began shooting at Mitsakos' white Dodge pickup truck and struck Mitsakos. Mitsakos then lost control of the Dodge, struck another vehicle, and then struck the side of an apartment complex.

The suspects were last seen traveling westbound on West Bellfort. It is believed they met up with persons in another vehicle, described only as a silver or gray pickup, just prior to the shooting. Two unknown armed Hispanic males were seen exiting the silver or gray pickup and getting into the black pickup on West Bellfort.
