Investigation Into Woman's Death at 815 Shawnee

October 25, 2010 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a woman found following a fire at 815 Shawnee about 10:40 p.m. on Friday (Oct. 22).

The identity of the victim, age unknown, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant O. Chandler and Senior Police Officer R. Figueroa reported:

Clear Lake patrol officers, along with HFD emergency personnel, responded to a house fire at the above location. When the fire was extinguished, the victim was found in the debris.

The case is being investigated by the HPD Homicide Division and the HFD Arson Unit.
