Fatal Traffic Accident at 9400 Almeda Genoa

November 22, 2010 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 9400 block of Almeda Genoa about 12:55 a.m. on Sunday (Nov. 21).

The male victim, 50, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he later died.  His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. 

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant N. Perry and Southeast Patrol Officer J. Scott reported: 

According to witnesses, the victim was operating a maroon Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Almeda Genoa when he struck a curb and then a mailbox.  He then lost control of the motorcycle and rolled several times. 

The investigation is continuing.
