Investigation into Fatal Traffic Accident at 1600 Durham
November 8, 2010 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 1600 block of Durham about 10:45 a.m. on Sunday (Nov. 7).
A male victim, 43, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Chambers and Senior Police Officer E. Simpson reported:
A silver Buick Regal and black Ford F-150 were both traveling southbound on Durham in separate lanes when the driver of the Buick made a left turn in front of the Ford, striking the Ford. The driver of the Buick lost control of his vehicle and struck the victim (a pedestrian) at the corner of Durham and Inker.
The investigation is continuing.
