Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 7639 Dashwood

November 8, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7639 Dashwood about 2:40 a.m. on Saturday (Nov. 6).

The male victim, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant G. Gonzales and Officer R. Olive reported:

Patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found the victim near the entrance of the El Catrachito Restaurant.  Witnesses reported the victim was involved in an altercation with three to four unknown suspects.  One of the suspects fired shots at the victim and then all the suspects fled in an unknown vehicle.
