Fatal Traffic Accident at 14500 Fondren May 10, 2010 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 14500 block of Fondren about 8:40 a.m. on Saturday (May 8). The identity of the female victim, 27, of Houston, is pending notification to family members by the Galveston County Medical Examiner’s Office. She was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Calley and Officer B. Banks reported: According to witnesses, the victim was driving a green Honda Accord northbound in the 14500 block of Fondren at a high rate of speed when she failed to stay in her lane. The Accord then struck a tree in a median. The driver died at the scene. The investigation is continuing.
