Fatal Traffic Accident at 8100 Southwest Freeway May 10, 2010 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 8100 block of the Southwest Freeway (U. S. Highway 59 South) service road about 11:50 p.m. on Saturday (May 8). The male victim, 50 to 60 years of age, was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Richard and Officer D. Brown reported: The victim was crossing the west side of the Southwest Freeway service road near Beechnut. A white Ford Crown Victoria , which had the green light, was traveling southbound on the service road when it struck the victim. The investigation is continuing.
