Baby Critically Injured in Traffic Accident at 711 Coral Dies May 4, 2010 - A baby girl injured in a traffic accident at 711 Coral about 4 a.m. on Sunday (May 2) has died from her injuries. Elizabeth Cedillo, four months old, was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Hospital about 7:15 p.m. on Monday (May 3). The suspect, David Chacon (w/m, DOB: 9-16-90), is charged with intoxication manslaughter in the 339th State District Court. He is accused of causing baby Elizabeth's fatal injuries. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Calley and Officer B. Banks reported: Chacon was driving a black Chevrolet Silverado truck eastbound on Satsuma and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Coral. The truck then traveled up a driveway of the residence at 711 Coral and crashed into the home. The truck struck baby Elizabeth, who was asleep in a front room. Chacon then fled the scene, but was later arrested at his home nearby, in the 7500 block of Satsuma. The baby was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition.
