Suspect Charged in Fatal Shooting at 10000 Burden March 18, 2010 - Charges have been filed against a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man in the 10000 block of Burden about 8:50 p.m. on Jan. 24. The suspect, Augustin Gabriel Cabrera (H/m, DOB: 8-23-89), is charged with murder in the 262nd State District Court. Cabrera is currently in the Harris County Jail on unrelated charges. He is accused in the killing of Erasmo Segundo, 22, of Houston, who suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition. Doctors pronounced him dead on Jan. 27. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. M. Cegielski and Senior Police Officer A. J. Palos reported: Northeast patrol officers responded to a discharge of firearms call in the 10100 block of Burden and found Mr. Segundo slumped over inside a Chevrolet truck in a ditch. He appeared to have been shot. Acting on a Crime Stoppers tip, investigators developed information that identified Cabrera as the suspect in this case.
