Fatal Traffic Accident at 200 Broadway March 15, 2010 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a fatal traffic accident in the 200 block of Broadway about 3:30 a.m. on Sunday (March 14). The suspect, Jose Rios-Posadas (H/m, DOB: 6-4-88) is charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter in the 248th State District Court. The victims, a male and a female, were pronounced dead at the scene. The identities of both are pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Richards and Officer B. Banks reported: The victims were traveling eastbound in the 200 block of Broadway in a green Ford Explorer when Rios-Posadas, traveling westbound on Broadway in a white Ford F-150 pickup truck, jumped a concrete median, crossed over into oncoming traffic and struck the Explorer. Both persons inside the Explorer were killed and Rios-Posadas, who was arrested at the scene, was not injured.
