Charges Filed in Shooting at 8000 Harwin March 3, 2010 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a shooting incident at 8000 Harwin about 8:55 a.m. on Tuesday (Mar 2). The suspect, Michael Anthony Anderson III (b/m, DOB: 3-23-90), is charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in the 248th State District Court. The victim, Adam Han, 24, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition. An additional suspect, also injured in the incident, suffered gunshot wounds to the head and torso and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition. His identity is pending notification to family members. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C.E. Elliott and Senior Police Officer A. Mares reported: Anderson and the other suspect entered the S.K. Houston store as it opened for the day. When the store clerk opened the cash register to complete a transaction, the unnamed suspect drew a weapon and attempted to grab money from the drawer. The clerk and the suspect began to fight. Family members, hearing the struggle, rushed to assist the clerk. When Mr. Han began to fight with the suspect, the suspect shot him in the stomach. Another family member joined the struggle and, in fighting over the pistol, the suspect was shot multiple times. Anderson fled the scene during the fighting but returned a short time later and was identified and arrested. He admitted to his role in the incident.
