Fatal Traffic Accident at 5400 Westpark June 28, 2010 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 5400 Westpark about 11:20 am on Sunday (June 27). The identity of the female victim, 91, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Law and Officer R. Veal reported: A white Isuzu NPR was traveling north in the 5300 block of Royalton and a silver Lexus LS400 was traveling east in the 5400 block of Westpark when the Isuzu struck the Lexus in the intersection. The driver and passenger of the Lexus were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where the female passenger was later pronounced dead. The Lexus' driver was expected to be released after treatment. The driver of the Isuzu was not injured. No charges have been filed at this time as the investigation continues. JFC/VHS 6-28-10
