Investigation Into Shooting at 3900 Sherwood Land June 9, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a male in the 3900 block of Sherwood Lane about 2 a.m. today. The victim, Paul Gamino, 22, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he remains in critical condition. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C.E. Elliot and Officer M.F. Stahlin reported: Mr. Gamino was traveling in a Chrysler 300 sedan with several witnesses when an unknown four-door sedan pulled alongside the Chrysler and began shooting in their direction. The suspect's vehicle then continued westbound on Sherwood Lane toward Mangum. Mr. Gamino was a passenger in the back left seat and was struck. The witnesses then transported Mr. Gamino to Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital where he was then airlifted via Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital. JKS/VHS 6-9-10
