Fatal Shooting at 8600 Woodway Drive

July 16, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and wounding of a woman at 8600 Woodway Drive about 10:25 p.m. on Wednesday (July 14). 

The victim, Mark A. Williams, 28, of Lynwood California, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.  The female victim, Danielle M. Coats, of Seagoville, Texas, 23, suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants K. Tolls and C. Howard, Senior Police Officer E. Castañeda and Officer M. Coleman reported:

HPD patrol officers and HFD emergency personnel responded to a shooting call at the above location.  Mr. Williams and Ms. Coats were found inside a silver Cadillac Escalade, that appeared to have rolled from the street and struck a parked vehicle in an apartment complex parking lot.
